DATORKER® Strain Wave Gearing Systems

Also listed as DATORKER® Strain Wave Gearing System

A wave generator, a flex spline, and a circular spline. The elliptical generator flexes the thin toothed cup against a rigid ring that has more teeth, reducing speed and multiplying torque at ratios a conventional gear cannot pack into the same space. Standard, heavy-load, and lightweight configurations cover assembled units and component sets.

Two shiny metallic circular mechanical components with visible gear teeth, bolts around the edge, and cylindrical bases, placed side by side on a plain white background.

Options & accessories

Options are specified in the model code when ordering.

  • Reduction ratio choices

Multiple reduction ratios are available under the same model size; input and output direction relationships follow from which element is fixed (catalog section 1-3).

  • Customized engineering

Custom specifications, dimensions, and interfaces to customer requirements: DATORKER units are routinely tailored to the joint they drive.

A close-up view of a precision metal mechanical component, likely a harmonic drive or gear assembly, featuring ball bearings, circular plates, and detailed machined surfaces against a white background.

Standard

DSC-AJ-M · DSC-CO · DSC-PO · DSC-PO-M · DSH-AH · DSH-AJ · DSH-PH · DSH-PO

The DSC cup family and DSH sealed-hollow family cover the everyday robot joint: component sets for custom modules, drop-in units with output bearings, and hollow shafts that route cables and air lines through the axis.

A close-up of a circular metal mechanical component with ball bearings, gears, and multiple bolts, commonly used in industrial machinery or robotics. The background is plain white.

Heavy load

DGC-CO · DGC-PO · DGH-AH · DGH-AJ · DGH-PH · DGH-PO

DGC and DGH carry about 30 percent more torque than the standard tiers in the same envelope, for presses, heavy arms, and machine axes where the joint works hardest. The same cup, sealed-hollow, ring, and self-aligning input builds are available.

A close-up of a metal ball bearing with circular openings and multiple layers of ball bearings inside, set against a plain white background.

Lightweight

DSC-CE-L

The DSC-CE-L component set strips mass for weight-critical joints: collaborative robots, end effectors, and moving axes where every gram at the wrist costs payload.

Why HIWIN

The joint that positions the robot.

Low-backlash precision

The flex spline engages the circular spline across many teeth at once: high positional accuracy, stable repeatability and low backlash.

High ratios in one stage

Reduction ratios from a two-tooth difference run from 50 to 160 in a single compact stage, with multiple ratio choices under the same model size.

Rigid, light, and compact

High torsional rigidity and low starting torque in a package light enough for the moving side of the joint.

Customizable by design

HIWIN engineers specifications, ratios, and interfaces to the application, from component sets to sealed drop-in units.
