DSC-PO-M Combination Strain Wave Gear Unit, High Tilting Moment

Type
Gear unit with high tilting moment output bearing (PO-M)
Models
14 - 40 (6 sizes)
Reduction Ratios
50 - 160
Rated Torque
5.4 - 294 Nm

Start customizing your product with our configurator

The DSC-PO-M packs the DATORKER wave generator, cup-type flex spline and flange-type circular spline into a combination unit with the crossed roller bearing included, delivering high reduction ratios in little space. As the Oldham combination type, the input self-aligns to a motor shaft of Ø6 to 14 mm (H7 bore), easing motor mounting, while the output bearing withstands axial and radial load with a higher tilting moment.

  • 1 arc min

Angle transmission accuracy, models 20 to 40

  • 886 Nm

Permissible dynamic tilting moment (model 40)

  • 8,500 rpm

Permissible max input speed (model 14)

Applications

  • Robot joints
  • Automation equipment
  • Semiconductor equipment
  • Machine tools
  • Inspection equipment

Models & ratios

Rated torque is at 2,000 rpm input; peak torque covers start and stop. Ratio 120 starts at model 17 and ratio 160 at model 20; torque ratings are shared with the other standard cup-type modules, so the M unit gives up nothing for its larger bearing.

Module executions

PO-M sits in the standard cup-type (DSC) family; the module and input letters pick how much of the joint comes built.

  • CO Component set — Bare gearset, self-assembly required
  • PO Combination — Output bearing included, standard capacity
  • PO-M High tilting moment — This unit: enlarged output bearing
  • AJ-M Solid shaft, high tilting moment — Same enlarged bearing, solid input shaft

Mounting flanges

Two flange executions cover both assembly sequences; the catalog publishes dimension tables for each.

  • A Type A — Flange to the motor first, reducer body last
  • B Type B — Reducer body to the flange first, motor last

Lubrication

Units ship prepacked with HIWIN G11 reducer grease (lithium soap thickener, mineral base oil, -20 to 130 degrees C service temperature).

  • G11 HIWIN G11 — Do not mix with other greases; 400 g tube for replacement

How buying works

Spec it in the configurator: drawings, 3D CAD, and a quote to follow.

HIWIN series are configured to your application, not bought off the shelf. Start from your loads and speeds if you are still choosing a size.
