Linear Guideways

Rolling elements recirculate between a profiled rail and a bearing block, cutting friction to about 1/50 of a traditional slide so the axis holds positional accuracy while carrying load in all four directions. Eleven series cover ball, roller, and SynchMotion types, from 2 mm miniature rail to 65 mm super-heavy, with dynamic ratings to 278 kN.

Options & accessories

Specified with the guideway, not bought separately: the configurator adds them to the part number.

  • Exploded view of a linear rail block assembly, showing internal parts like screws, a metal rod, a red end cap, and green and silver components.

    E2 self-lubrication

A lubricator and refillable oil cartridge built into the block coat the raceways by capillary action, stretching maintenance intervals and service life.

  • A metal linear guide rail and block carriage system used for precise motion in industrial machinery or automation equipment, shown isolated on a white background.

    SE metal end caps

Metal end caps raise service temperature up to 150°C, for environments where a standard block cannot operate.

  • Exploded view of a linear guide block showing internal components, including green and black outer parts, red internal plates, and two thin metal strips on the right, against a white background.

    Dust-proof kits

Scrapers, washers, and spacer plates stack onto the block to keep chips and debris out of the raceways in high-debris environments.

  • A rectangular metallic block with a hole in the center, shown with a green arrow and circle pointing downward toward the hole.

    RC reinforced caps

Synthetic-resin caps with an elastic O-ring seal the rail mounting holes, resisting oil, abrasion, and vibration that unseat standard caps.

Ball type

HG · EG · WE · MG · CG

The all-purpose standard: four rows of recirculating balls in circular-arc contact give equal load ratings in all four directions and self-align to absorb installation error. Spans miniature MG through super-heavy HG, with low-profile, wide-rail, and cover-strip variants between.

Quiet SynchMotion®

QH · QE · QW · QR

SynchMotion® partitions keep the rolling elements from ever touching: around 5 dB quieter, smoother travel, longer lubrication intervals, and less dust. Every quiet series shares identical rails with its ball twin (QH with HG, QE with EG, QW with WE, QR with RG), so upgrading is a drop-in.

Roller & Positioning

RG · PG

Rollers replace balls for a larger contact area: super-high rigidity and load capacity for machine tools and heavy cutting (RG). PG builds a magnetic encoder into the rail for position feedback without an external scale.

Why HIWIN

The guideway standard, from miniature to machine tool.

SynchMotion®, measurably quieter

HIWIN’s partition technology keeps rolling elements from ever colliding: about 5 dB quieter than conventional guideways, proven at 130 m/min over 9,500 km of high-speed testing.

Interchangeable by design

Each quiet series runs on identical rails to its ball twin (QH with HG, QE with EG, QW with WE, QR with RG), so a quiet upgrade is a block swap on existing axes, not a redesign.

Equal loads in four directions

Circular-arc raceways carry radial, reverse-radial, and lateral loads at the same rating, so one guideway resists forces from any direction.

Graded to ultra precision

Accuracy classes run from C to UP and preloads vary by series: MG is C, H and P with ZF, Z0 and Z1 preloads, and RG, QR and CRG have no C class. Stainless and sealing options let the platform serve transport axes, cleanrooms, and machine tools.
