The QW series linear guideway with SynchMotion™ Technology possesses all the advantages of the WE series, which features high moment rigidity and is suitable for single rail or space saving applications. With the SynchMotion™ technology it also provides quieter and smoother movement, superior lubrication, and longer service life. The QW series is interchangeable with the WE series.

QW shares its rail with the WE Series: SynchMotion blocks drop onto an existing WE axis for quieter running, no redesign required. View WE Series →

Applications

  • Automation devices
  • High-speed transportation equipment
  • Precision measuring equipment
  • Semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Blow molding machines
  • Single-axis robots

Variants

Every QW block is a heavy-load (C) block. QWH is the square type, mounting from the top (A); QWW is the flange type, bolting from the top or the bottom (C). Both shapes run sizes 17-35 on the same rails.

Accuracy classes

Five classes, chosen from the accuracy of the applied equipment. Interchangeable guideways come in C, H, and P only.

  • C Normal — General transport and automation
  • H High — The workhorse class for most machines
  • P Precision — Precision measurement and semiconductor
  • SP Super precision — High-accuracy stages; non-interchangeable type only
  • UP Ultra precision — The tightest running parallelism; non-interchangeable type only

Preload

A negative clearance between groove and balls improves stiffness and holds precision. Interchangeable guideways take Z0 or ZA only.

  • Z0 Very light — 0-0.02C: certain load direction, low impact, low precision requirement
  • ZA Light — 0.03C-0.05C: low load with high precision requirements
  • ZB Medium — 0.06C-0.08C: high rigidity under vibration and impact; non-interchangeable type only

Dust protection

Seal packages appended to the model number.

  • — Standard — End seal + bottom seal
  • ZZ Scraper — End seal, bottom seal + scraper
  • DD Double seals — Double seals + bottom seal
  • KK Full package — Double seals, bottom seal + scraper

How buying works

Spec it in the configurator: drawings, 3D CAD, and a quote to follow.

HIWIN series are configured to your application, not bought off the shelf. Start from your loads and speeds if you are still choosing a size.
