The EG series is a low profile, high load capacity, and high rigidity guideway block. It also features an equal load rating in all four directions and self-aligning capability to absorb installation error, allowing for higher accuracies. Additionally, the lower assembly height and the shorter length make the EG series more suitable for high-speed, automation machines and applications where space is limited.

Variants
Square (EGH) is the standard block, mounted from the top. Flange (EGW) blocks spread the bolt pattern wider and mount from the top (A models) or from the bottom through plain holes (B models), for installations where you can't reach through the block.

Accuracy classes
Five classes, chosen from the accuracy of the applied equipment. Interchangeable blocks and rails are offered in C, H and P.
- C Normal — General transport and automation
- H High — The workhorse class for most machines
- P Precision — Precision measurement and semiconductor; the tightest class on interchangeable guideways
- SP Super precision — High-accuracy equipment, non-interchangeable only
- UP Ultra precision — The tightest running parallelism, non-interchangeable only
Preload
Negative clearance between balls and groove stiffens the guideway and holds precision. Keep preload at ZA or lighter below size 20; interchangeable guideways come in Z0 and ZA only.
- Z0 Very light — 0 to 0.02C. Set load direction, low impact, modest precision
- ZA Light — 0.03C to 0.05C. Low load with high precision required
- ZB Medium — 0.06C to 0.08C. High rigidity under vibration and impact; non-interchangeable type only
Dust protection
Seal packages appended to the model number. Rail bolt caps ship with every rail.
