HIWIN linear tubular LMT series are linear motors with a unique shape created by arranging permanent magnets cylindrically. Due to the coreless forcer, the LMT tubular motors are very light and extremely dynamic. They are also good substitutes for ballscrew applications because of the same installation interface.

For flat-format axes, the coreless LMC keeps the zero-cogging behavior in a U-channel stator. View LMC Series →

  • 1,196 N

Peak force (1 s) from the largest model (LMTC6)

  • 5 g

    Maximum acceleration

  • IP66

    Dustproof and waterproof ingress rating

Applications

  • High-speed light-load automation equipment
  • Dust-free environment automation equipment
  • Panel equipment
  • Optical inspection equipment
  • Tool line cutting equipment
  • Scanning electron microscope equipment
  • Medical automation

Models

The character after LMT picks the frame, which sets the stator diameter: 2 (12 mm), 6 (16 mm), A (20 mm), B (25 mm), C (35 mm). The final character steps the forcer length within the frame, D/T/Q on the two smallest sizes and 2-4 or 2-6 on the larger ones, and force scales with it.

Part numbers & options

How a part number reads

LMT A S □□□□ (magnet-track order code; forcers are ordered by model number, e.g. LMTA3)

LMT
Series — tubular (rod-shaped) linear motor
A
Diameter of stator — 2 12 mm · 6 16 mm · A 20 mm · B 25 mm · C 35 mm
S
Model — S standard · C customized
□□□□
Stator length — four digits, in mm (the catalog prints this column as "width of stator")

The configurator assembles this number for you, with drawings and 3D CAD. Configure ↗

Stator execution

The third position of the magnet-track order code.

  • S Standard — Catalog stator in the ordered length
  • C Customized — Built to the customer recognition drawing

Stroke range by frame

Strokes are ordered in 50 mm increments; total stator length Ls = stroke + forcer length + 2 x clamping length.

  • LMT2 50–1,050 mm — Clamping length 25 / 40 / 60 mm as stroke grows
  • LMT6 100–1,050 mm — Clamping length 25 / 40 / 60 mm as stroke grows
  • LMTA 100–1,550 mm — Clamping length 25 / 40 / 60 mm as stroke grows
  • LMTB 100–1,550 mm — Clamping length 50 / 70 / 100 mm as stroke grows
  • LMTC 100–2,000 mm — Clamping length 50 / 70 / 100 mm as stroke grows
