Split inner ring type (CRBB): Consists of two inner semi-rings and an outer ring, which is suitable for rotating the outer ring.

Rotating the inner ring instead? CRBA is the mirror construction: one inner ring, two outer semi-rings. View CRBA Series →

Part numbers & options

How a part number reads

CRBB 080 16 WW C8 P5

CRBB
Model code — CRBA split outer · CRBB split inner · CRBC high rigidity · CRBD/CRBE with mounting holes · CRBX custom
080
Bore diameter — 080 = 80 mm (30 to 400 mm for CRBB)
16
Width (mm)
(blank)
Mounting holes — always blank on CRBB · A/B/C apply to CRBD and CRBE only
WW
Seals — WW sealed both sides · NN open (both keep oil holes)
C8
Clearance — C8 negative, zero backlash · C1 positive, low friction
P5
Accuracy — P5 · P4 · P2 · PD5 (CRBB); family also runs PD4 · PD2

Accuracy grades

CRBB runs P5, P4, P2 and PD5. Runout is specified on the rotating outer ring: radial runout 8 to 23 µm by size in P5/PD5, down to 3 µm in P2.

  • P5 Standard — General automation and fixtures
  • P4 High — Robot joints, rotary tables
  • P2 Precision — Machine tools, inspection equipment
  • PD5 Tight-tolerance grade — Tighter bore and outside diameter tolerances at the same runout as P5

Internal clearance

  • C8 Negative (preload) — Zero backlash for indexing and joints; friction rises during unloading
  • C1 Positive — Lower friction torque under light duty

Seals

  • WW Sealed both sides — Keeps the track clean, retains grease
  • NN Open — Lowest friction for low-torque axes

How buying works

Spec it in the configurator: drawings, 3D CAD, and a quote to follow.

HIWIN series are configured to your application, not bought off the shelf. Start from your loads and speeds if you are still choosing a size.
