Hiwin's rotating nut utilizes a special end cap design that allows the steel balls to circulate inside the nut while featuring an integral bearing that allows the ballscrew shaft to be fixed. This unique design reduces noise generated at high speeds and offers higher axial loading and stiffness.

  • 45°

Steel-ball contact angle for higher axial load

  • Zero

Backlash when rotating, from the angular-contact construction

  • 6500 kgf

Dynamic load rating of the largest model (R2 50-50K4)

Applications

  • Semiconductor industries
  • Robots
  • Wood processing machines
  • Laser cutting machines
  • Transporting equipment

Rotating nut models

Every R1 model is one nut configuration: a flanged single nut with integral angular-contact bearing and end-cap ball return, cut as a high-lead thread where lead equals the nominal diameter (nut code DFSH, S2 = 1.8 turns × 2 circuits). The model code reads diameter-lead: 40-40S2 is a Ø40 shaft with a 40 mm lead. The nine R2 models (T6 and K4 codes, e.g. 4R25-25K4-DFSCR2EW) add a back-to-back outer-ring bearing and a dustproof component between bearing and nut.
