Servo Drive E1
High-performance drive for linear, torque, and AC servo motors: 3.2 kHz response, built-in STO
AC Servo Motors & Drives
E2 Series Servo Drive
The E2 combines a 3.2 kHz speed response with a tuneless function, advanced auto-tune, and built-in velocity ripple compensation, vibration suppression and error compensation. It networks with industrial communication devices, carries a built-in STO (Safe Torque Off) function and motor over-temperature protection (PTC) with a CN10 motor thermal-sensor input, and supports various encoder types such as Digital, Analog, Tamagawa, EnDat and BiSS-C. Typical fields of application include VDU, semiconductor, automation, laser cutting and PCB.
HIMC controllers connect to E-series drives over EtherCAT (CoE). View HIMC Controller →

Function models, AC through GT, from one model-number code
3.5 kW
Max rated output power, from the 18 Arms rating
E2 ratings are named by rated current: 003 through 018 spans 3 to 18 Arms, or 500 W to 3.5 kW max rated power, with a 400 V class at the 009 rating. Ratings 003 to 009 also come in a single-phase execution (power input code 5) for the Rich function model. Weights are for standard drives; fieldbus versions add 0.02 kg.
| Rated output | Supply | Peak current (Arms) | Rated current (Arms) | Weight (kg) | Configure |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 500 W (003) | 1/3-phase 100-240 V or DC 48-120 V | 12 | 3 | 1.18 | Configure ↗ |
| 1 kW (006) | 1/3-phase 100-240 V or DC 48-120 V | 18 | 6.3 | 1.20 | Configure ↗ |
| 1.2 kW (009) | 1/3-phase 100-240 V or DC 48-120 V | 28.3 | 9.4 | 1.72 | Configure ↗ |
| 2 kW (012) | 1/3-phase 100-240 V | 55 | 12 | 2.52 | Configure ↗ |
| 3.5 kW (018) | 3-phase 200-240 V | 55 | 18 | 2.52 | Configure ↗ |
| 3 kW (009, 400 V) | 3-phase 200-480 V | 26 | 9.4 | 3.10 | Configure ↗ |
How a part number reads
ED2 S - V0 - 003 - 1 - C - 00 (spaces between decoded positions)

The sixth model-number code picks the feature tier; all five run on the same E2 hardware.
Standard drives take voltage and pulse commands; fieldbus drives speak the plant network.
The fifth model-number code matches the supply to the rating.

How buying works
HIWIN series are configured to your application, not bought off the shelf. Start from your loads and speeds if you are still choosing a size.
