Servo Drive E2
Advanced drive supporting Digital, Tamagawa, EnDat, and BiSS-C encoders
AC Servo Motors & Drives
D1 Series Servo Drive
The D1 is the general-purpose drive that carried HIWIN linear, torque and AC servo motors before the E series, and it remains supported for the installed base: a field-oriented digital amplifier on single- or three-phase 100-240 VAC, in standard pulse/voltage or EtherCAT executions (CoE, or mega-ulink for HIMC controllers). Analog sin/cos, digital and resolver feedback are built in, setup completes with one click from the human-machine interface, and the tool set runs from gain and filter settings through frequency analysis, Bode plots and Lissajous figures. Encoder error mapping for linear axes and the PDL drive-level programming language handle fine correction and machine logic on the drive itself.
The E2 is the current-generation successor: its Basic function model covers original D1-series application scenarios, and HIWIN publishes a D1-to-E2 replacement guide for migrating axes. The D1 continues to be supported. View Servo Drive E2 →
36 Apk
Peak current on the largest rating, held for 1 second
5,000
Error-map points compensating linear-axis encoder error
4
PDL tasks in parallel on a 66.67 µs execution cycle
D1 ratings are named by peak current: D1-09, D1-18 and D1-36 span 9 to 36 Apk (6.36 to 25.4 Arms), each holding peak for 1 second, all on single- or three-phase 100-240 VAC. The three ratings share one 191.6 × 139.8 × 64.8 mm frame at 1.25 kg before heat sinks; optional high-profile (D1-H1) and low-profile (D1-H2) external heat sinks bolt on when the duty cycle needs them.
| Rating | Supply | Peak current (Arms) | Rated current (Arms) | Weight (kg) | Configure |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

| D1-18 (18 Apk) | 1/3-phase 100-240 V | 12.7 | 4.24 | 1.25 | Configure ↗ |

How a part number reads

The configurator assembles this number for you, with drawings and 3D CAD. Configure ↗
Standard drives take pulse and voltage commands; EtherCAT executions speak the plant network.
The base drive cools by natural circulation; two external heat-sink profiles extend the duty cycle.
Line filters and EMI cores matched to the supply, for CE-compliant installations.

How buying works
HIWIN series are configured to your application, not bought off the shelf. Start from your loads and speeds if you are still choosing a size.
